Enhancing the sale of extra virgin olive oil: the quality path of the Congedi Oil Mill

Never as in this era, in which everything seems to be sold out, does it seem necessary to undertake a quality discourse on the company’s resources and strengths. In this light, Ettore Congedi, owner of the historic Ugento company, seems to be moving. Regarding achievements, Congedi told the Gazzetta del Mezzogiorno:

Signs are positive in the post Xylella Fastidiosa era, and we are proud to have been awarded for Denò oil, which has greater nutraceutical value due to an innovative production technique. It involves an additional phase of pitting by pressing only the pulp-a production process that has been yielding considerable results in terms of quality for a couple of years now.”

About the awarding of Olio EVO Denò2021 with the Bibenda 5 drops, the Salento producer added:

Denò is the extra virgin olive oil resulting from an innovative technique at Frantoio Congedi that takes advantage of the prior separation of the stone from the drupes and the processing of the olive pulp only. Characterized by an intense bright green color, rich and harmonious taste with notes of bitter and spicy fruitiness.”
